How to search for books and ebooks

DBS provides access to a wide range of books and eBooks related to Film, Literature and Media. Search specifically for books and ebooks from the Library Catalogue in the box below.

Type of books

Books can be borrowed for seven days and fourteen days. 

​If all copies of the book are out on loan, you can place a hold request on it​.

 eBooks can be accessed through the catalogue or through specific databases. More on accessing eBooks here.

Reference books are normally books that are in high demand. These items can be used in the library only and have a red sticker on them.

Book locations

The Library uses the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) System for shelf order of books. Some DDC numbers relevant to you:
